Setting up a Birthday earning rule

You can award loyalty points on the customer's birthday the following way:

Go to the "Loyalty program" page in the app
In the "Ways to earn" section click the "Add way to earn" button and select "Birthday points" from the list


Provide the title of the earning rule which will be visible for the customers on the storefront
Set the number of points the customer should receive on their birthday


Save the changes

How does the customer provide their birthday?

If the Birthday points rule is enabled the customer will be able to provide their birthday on the Loyalty page or on the loyalty program blocks at the account page.

Can the customer update their birthday?

No. Customers can only provide their birthday once to avoid taking advantage of the program by updating their birthday frequently to receive birthday points. Once a birthday is provided, they will receive the points every year.
