How to set up point expiry?
Setting up point expiry is a great way to introduce urgency and incentivize active participation in the point program.
You can set up point expiry the following way:
Go to the "Loyalty program" page in the app
On the right in the "Point expiry" section select "Expire after X months" and provide the number of months the points should expire after
Save the changes
If point expiry is enabled the the customer's point balance will reset to 0 if they don't earn or redeem points for the given number of months.
Example scenario: Point expiry is set to 6 months. The customer makes an order and earn points for it on the 1st of January then on the 1st of February. After that they don't earn any other points or redeem a reward. Their point balance will reset to 0 after 6 months on 2nd of August.
