Legacy Customer Account: Account balance, ways to earn & redeem

This placement is only available if you're using Legacy customer account.

Overview

Show the point balance of your customers, ways to redeem and earn points on the account page.

How it works?

Redeem rewards

Customers will see their current loyalty point balance on the account page, if they click the "View rewards" button they'll be able to see the available rewards that they can redeem.



Once they redeem a reward they can choose to copy the discount code to use later or apply it to their current cart. Unused rewards that were redeemed will be available in the "Existing rewards" section on the modal for future use.



Logged out customers will see a message in the cart to log in for rewards. This can be hidden on the "Customize storefront > Cart: Earn and redeem points" page in the app admin.

Earn points

Clicking the "Earn points" button will show a list of the ways they can earn points.



Ways to earn that were completed are marked with a checkmark. Otherwise customers can earn points by completing social actions and they can set their birthday for birthday rewards.

How to set up

To show customer loyalty point balance on the account page add the "Loyalty Account Page" block to the account page in the theme editor:

Open the theme editor
On the top middle navigate to the Customer account page



If you're not logged in with a test customer you might see a log in screen. Just log in with a test customer in the theme editor as you would on the storefront
After log in navigate to the Customer account page again
On the left click the "Add section" button and select the "Loyalty Account Page" block from the "Apps" tab



Save the changes

Change texts

Account page card and Earn points pop-up texts: You can change the texts of the cart embed in the app admin on the "Customize storefront > Account page: Point balance" page.
Redeem rewards pop-up texts: You can change the texts of the cart embed in the app admin on the "Customize storefront > Cart: Earn and redeem points" page.
